Commentators around the world are now just about unanimous – the Cape is currently the most dynamic wine producing country in the world, it is also the most beautiful with the richest floral kingdom on the planet rooted in the most ancient soils.
Yet it’s more than the heady cocktail of fabulous food and fine wine in beautiful settings – it’s about authenticity and the other big trend, sustainability. The winelands has more land in conservation than planted to vineyard and leads the world in sustainable wine production.
Our tours are the distillation of 30 years of passion for Cape and International Wines. The guide needed no encouragement to abandon a corporate career in 1997 to qualify as a winemaker in 2001 and make wine in South Africa, New Zealand and Europe.
He has evolved from curious beginner to enthusiastic drinker and hoarder to winemaker, -writer and –judge – but while on tour relishes reminiscing about his innocent consumer days.
Select one of his themed tours or let’s tailor the tour to your preferences and tastes or insight of the achingly beautiful winelands.
